Responsible Play

Last updated: not yet issued — this is an unreviewed template.

Sweepstakes promotions are entertainment. They are not a way to make money, and they should never be treated as one.

The basics

  • 21+ only. We publish for adults aged 21 and over, everywhere we operate.
  • Never spend money you need. Gold Coin purchases buy entertainment. They do not buy better odds, and there is no purchase route to a better outcome.
  • The free entry method exists for a reason. Every legitimate operator must offer a way to obtain Sweepstakes Coins without spending anything. If you would rather not spend, use it.
  • Set a limit before you start, not after you are behind.
  • Take breaks. Long unbroken sessions are where judgement goes.

Signs worth taking seriously

Consider stopping and seeking support if you recognise any of these:

  • Spending more than you planned, or more than you can comfortably lose.
  • Chasing losses — playing to recover what you have already spent.
  • Playing to escape stress, low mood, boredom or loneliness.
  • Hiding how much time or money you spend, or lying about it.
  • Borrowing money, selling things, or missing bills to keep playing.
  • Feeling anxious, irritable or restless when you cannot play.
  • People close to you expressing concern.

None of these mean you have failed at anything. They are common, they are recognised, and free confidential help exists.

Controls the operators provide

We are a publisher and cannot apply limits to your accounts. Operators generally offer some combination of:

  • deposit and purchase limits
  • session time reminders and limits
  • cooling-off periods
  • account self-exclusion or closure

These are in the account settings of the operator's own site. If you cannot find them, contact their support directly and ask — they are required to help you.

You can also block gambling transactions with many banks and card issuers, and install blocking software such as Gamban or BetBlocker across your devices.

Free, confidential help

  • National Problem Gambling Helpline — 1-800-GAMBLER. 24/7, free and confidential. Call, text, or chat.
  • National Council on Problem Gambling — screening tools, treatment referrals, and support for family members.
  • Gamblers Anonymous — peer support meetings, in person and online.

Support is available for the people around a gambler too, not only the gambler.

Protecting minors

This site is for adults. If children use your devices, use parental controls and keep payment methods and account credentials out of reach.

A note on what we are

We are a comparison publisher, not a treatment service and not a counsellor. If you are struggling, please contact one of the services above — they are staffed by people trained for exactly this, and it costs nothing.

[TODO — counsel: confirm the required responsible-play disclosures, helpline attributions and any state-specific wording for each published state.]
