A cookie is a small file a site stores on your device. This page lists every cookie we set and what it is for.

Cookies we set

Your state choice — `ws_state`

Purpose: remembers the U.S. state you selected, so the site can show the right rankings without asking again on every visit. Contains: a two-letter state code, for example TX. Nothing else. Lasts: one year. Necessary? Yes — the site's core function is state-specific, and this cookie is what makes your correction stick.

This cookie can only ever hold a state we actually publish in. It cannot be used to reach a state we do not serve: our routing ignores it whenever the network layer confidently reports that you are somewhere we do not operate.

Cookies set by others

When you click through to an operator, that operator and its affiliate tracking provider may set their own cookies on their own domains. Those are outside our control and are covered by their policies, not ours. We list this because the click is how we are paid, and you should know it is tracked.

What we do not currently set

We do not currently run analytics, advertising pixels, or profiling cookies.

Controlling cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the ws_state cookie the site still works, but it will fall back to detecting your state from the network on each visit, and any correction you make will not persist.
